eT@lking: Murder under the Microscope

Stanley Yip was our presenter this evening on “Murder under the Microscope” (MuM). This innovative online environmental game epitomizes some of the best that technology can give to education. It has been going for the last three years, and is constantly being improved. He shared some great tips for developing successful immersive environments:

  1. enable expression of identity
  2. use ‘real world’ information
  3. create a sense of community
  4. have surprises to reward the users
  5. justified eye candy
  6. human emotion
